Leaflet
My leaflet was created with an adult audience in mind. I asked my parents about what they saw as stopping them from exercising more and my Dad said the following:
“I work pretty long hours and am quite tired when I come back home. The last thing I feel like doing is heading down the gym to run on a treadmill and look at a wall. I just want to enjoy myself”
My mum said: “I get all the exercise I need cleaning up after you”
Both of them didn’t seem to see exercise as being fun or enjoyable, it was more of a chore or a task. I decided that I wanted to come up with something that would help adults to see exercise as being fun, as well as giving them lots of health benefits.
I did some research on the web and found a quote from Michael Jordan which I thought was really good. I then storyboarded the front of the leaflet. The storyboard can be viewed here.
I choose a smaller size for the leaflet as opposed to A4 as I though A4 would be too big. I then did some more web research looking for silhouette picture which I could use. I eventually found something which I could amend in Photoshop. I then obtained a background and did some editing with it in Photoshop.
Once I was happy with the front page, I storyboarded the back page. This can be viewed here.
I used information which I had previously used in the information point, however, I tried to give it a more grown up family feel and also inserted a picture of an adult not a teenager.
The final leaflet can be seen here.
